“Jackie is a wonderful teacher. As I get older I find yoga increasingly important for maintaining my fitness flexibility, and being able to Zoom in during lockdown was a life-saver. I can’t wait to be able to go on another retreat. The place was beautiful, the food delicious, and being able to focus on yoga for a few days did wonders for my wellbeing.”

“Jackie makes everyone feel special at all her classes and retreats – everyone is welcome and it really doesn’t matter if you can’t touch your toes!”
Jackie is a wonderful and warm yoga teacher with superb professionalism and a great depth of knowledge, particularly of the more traditional practices involving breath work and Chakras. This connection with the foundations of the yogic practice is evident in Jackie’s calming, strong energy. She is the only instructor who has ever successfully guided me into a deep and restorative meditation.
Her retreats are physically demanding for those who want to push themselves but Jackie takes great care to cater to all levels of ability.
Mentally you will return feeling rejuvenated after a long weekend of meditation, opening and aligning your chakras and eating fabulous food made on site and eaten together.
“Going on Jackie’s Yoga Retreat was the most wonderful experience. It was an amazing opportunity for me to develop my Yoga practice and for us to explore poses in depth and really make the most of them. The place we stayed in was just perfect, with some idyllic spots to have some time on your own or get to know the group. I learnt so much, was able to achieve things I didn’t think I could and came away feeling both relaxed and invigorated to do more. Thank you Jackie!”
“When you find a gem of a yoga teacher, you don’t need to go elsewhere. I was persuaded to try Jackie’s class over 10yrs ago when I already had my “regular” class and never left. She manages to fit in a strong flow, blended with lovely pranayamas and asanas, an average class restores body and soul. If you venture further and do a retreat your yoga is then stretched another level with a full holistic blend of practice and meditation. Jackie faces challenges with strength, blended with a deep calm, inspiring you to just stretch your boundaries a little bit more.”
“Wonderful retreat in a gorgeous characterful house. Lovely bedrooms and gardens. Log burner and places to sit peacefully throughout. The studio in contrast is ultra modern and bright, perfect for the yoga and meditation sessions. Wonderful short walk to the coast and the garden is full of flowers and birdsong. So that’s the setting now for the experience! Jackie is a lovely, warm, kind person with a strong intuition and experience in teaching yoga. This for me made the whole retreat, as much a spiritual one as a fantastic feeling of being in touch with my body. Would thoroughly recommend. Truly life changing.”
“I attended one of Jackie’s yoga retreats in February, – I didn’t know what to expect, but I wasn’t disappointed. The venue and setting were lovely. The food was amazing, home cooked vegetarian, plentiful and delicious. Jackie had split each day into several different yoga sessions with the opportunity to try new techniques and different practices. Something for everyone with no pressure if you didn’t want to join in with every session. A totally relaxing environment, just what I needed, to escape for a couple of days with no one to think about but myself! I really felt like a new woman when I got home!”
“Jackie’s yoga retreats are amazing – truly energising and restorative! Jackie is a gifted and intuitive yoga practitioner, gently tapping into the individual needs of each in her class. Jackie’s passion for yoga coupled with her years of experience and breadth of knowledge means her retreats are varied, fulfilling and a joy to be part of.”
“Having practiced with many teachers over the years in different yoga traditions I always look forward to Jackie’s classes and retreats. She is an excellent teacher.Jackie is very welcoming and has a relaxed and engaging approach which allows each of us to work at our level of comfort and experience. She has a thorough knowledge of yoga rooted in tradition but carries this lightly. I enjoy the sessions and benefit that I get from at times being calm and relaxed, to at times having the more physical challenge of some of the postures. If you have never tried a Yoga Nidra session I would recommend giving it a go, and indeed any of Jackie’s classes.“
“Jackie’s is a generous, thoughtful and knowledgable yoga teacher. Jackie’s instruction is excellent and great for beginners and and experienced yogis. Jackie’s retreats are located in idyllic places in Cornwall where you can enjoy yoga, meet new people and completely relax. Vegetarian meals which is locally sourced are provided. Everything was is efficiently organised. I can’t wait for her next retreat!”
“I have been practising yoga with Jackie for about two and a half years now and highly recommend her and have recommended her. Jackie is amazing at what she does and caters for all abilities. She is patient, an excellent teacher and is authentic. When I finish a class with Jackie I feel strong and empowered. I have also had the pleasure of attending some retreats at Rosemerryn, a beautiful cottage and house set in Cornwall. The yoga classes here are incredible and the food is some of the best I’ve eaten. I always feel refreshed and healthier after one of Jackie’s retreats.
Jackie, you’re a wondeful human being. Om shanti.”
“Great, very well organised fun, always lovely food and good company, lovely surroundings, well worth doing great benefits, fantastic, enjoy!”
“Jackie’s retreats have left me feeling energised and focused. The range of sessions and knowledge is diverse and I always experience something new. Nothing is ever a problem, a general over arching feeling of joy and kindness always seems to underpin these beautiful weekends. Thank you.”
Over the years I have sporadically practiced yoga but have never found a teacher or style of yoga that keeps me hooked. Almost 2 years ago I discovered Jackie! Her enthusiasm for yoga never ceases to amaze me and encourage me to try and develop my own practice. Every class is different and fun, often challenging but always total bliss – a real escape for 1.5 hours!
I’ve also been lucky enough to share with Jackie the ‘treat’ of a yoga retreat. The yoga, the food (did someone say flapjack?!) and the surroundings – not to be missed.
“Jackie’s yoga retreat was so relaxing! The yoga was lovely, the food was delicious and there was lots of time to relax, go on walks or swim in the sea.
I can’t wait for the next one!”
“I have been on several of Jackie’s Yoga Retreats – every single one was inspirational. Jackie is a truly warm and sensitive teacher, moulding her retreats to every person’s requirements. She aims all her classes from complete beginners through to advanced yogis with no pressure to be anywhere or do anything or than enjoy the magical ambience of her retreat. I never wanted the retreat to finish – always meeting interesting people, enjoying delicious food, having fun and learning more about yoga and at the same time chilling out – a time just to be! Teaching at it’s best – everyone needs some of Jackie in their lives!
